Our Good Friend Joe’s getting a Brand New Website.

You are looking at the 3rd revision of our mock up homepage design for photographer Joe Pecararo’s new website. As with everything we’ve done with Joe, Working with Joe on the website has been great. He’s liked everything we showed him so far.
You’d think that would be a good thing, and it is, but I was starting (more…)
Barton’s Way Media would like to thank everyone involved with the Personal Journalism Wedding Site Shoot.

We first introduced you to Carrie and Louis in an “Unforgettable” HD cinema wedding trailer that was posted to our HD Vimeo channel a few days ago. It has been a popular clip, getting 314 views in 6 days. Not too shabby considering we haven’t done anything to create an audience for it outside of submitting it to a few groups on the initial posting. But I digress.
The thing that I want you to know about Carrie and Louis is how generous they were to give up an entire Saturday to model for (more…)
Before picture alluded to in previous post.

How do you like that title? Pretty bad huh? Well, I thought a photo as ugly as the one above ought to have a title to match. This raw unprocessed image looks a whole lot different than the processed one below. Still it’s amazing what’s possible with today’s pro equipment. When the original 1D came out ( I still have my two), shooting at ISO 3200 wasn’t even an option let alone having an image with enough “raw” information to look this good after processing. 7 years of evolution has created a big difference Indeed! -Jack
Upcoming New Wedding Trailer for Vimeo Channel You “Won’t Forget” in 2 hours.

You’re looking at a wonderful couple, Carrie & Louis, who recently married in CT. We filmed and photographed their big day with our good friend and one of the best wedding photogs in the biz, Mr. Joe Pecoraro. The images looked so good, we thought we’d whip together a little trailer just to show off a little bit. The shot above spoils the ending, but I can’t get a screen shot of the edit at the moment because, well… it’s being edited. This image above is a still image of their first kiss as a married couple. I was at the back of the room, so I used a Canon 1DIII with a 300 2.8 lens. Camera settings: RAW, Aperture Priority, ISO 3200, f 3.2, 1/30 sec. I used Adobe Lightroom to do the post-processing. I should post up the before picture so you can see what a difference a little processing can do. -Jack
